Anne “Annie” Schwartz, PharmD, Clinical Pharmacist
About Me
Hello, my name is Anne but I go by Annie. I am a clinical pharmacist and I work alongside BJC doctors to assist with medication-related concerns such as cost, side effects, and making sure medication regimens help reach patient’s health goals (for example, blood sugar or blood pressure goals). I am mostly available by telephone but can arrange telehealth or in-person visits on occasion. I enjoy educating patients and providing them with tools to improve their health. I love working with people and our amazing team of doctors, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and medical assistants. We have so many valuable resources to truly live out BJC’s mission to take exceptional care of our patients.
My Qualifications
I received my Doctorate of Pharmacy and then completed two extra years of training in a clinic setting to learn even more about providing better care to my patients. I am currently a licensed pharmacist in Missouri and I am working on becoming licensed in Illinois. I am also working towards extra certification in the clinic pharmacy setting to enhance my knowledge on medications and chronic disease management.
What Inspires Me
Watching patients improve their health inspires me, whether that is through making positive changes in their lifestyle, finding a special way to remember taking their medications every day, or sharing in their happiness if we are able to decrease the cost of an expensive medication.
What I Would Like My Patients to Know
If you never ask, the answer is always no!
