Christian Hospital employees are out and about in the community
Christian Hospital team members were out in full force the first weekend in May — bringing health awareness and resources directly into the neighborhoods around the hospital — as part of the hospital’s mission to serve as a pillar of the community it calls home.
Team members represented CH at the Ferguson Farmers Market; Florissant Valley of Flowers Festival; Twillman Elementary School for the 12th annual Spanish Lake Youth and Resource Fair; the National Alliance on Mental Illness NAMI Walk; and the Hazelwood School District Learning Center.
Employee volunteers came from several hospital areas, including case management, the Community Health Access Program (CHAP), the Child Development Center, communications and marketing, emergency medical services, human resources, mental health, nursing quality, oncology, surgical services, volunteer services and medical students from A.T. Still University Osteopathic Medical School.
“We value these opportunities to interact with our patients and their families and friends outside of the hospital walls,” says CH president Rick Stevens. “Many thanks to Christian Hospital staff for representing our organization out in the community.”
