President, Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital
Tony Schwarm is president of Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital, a 25-bed critical access hospital that provides health care services to residents from Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties.
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital originally was built by the city of Sullivan and opened in 1962 as Sullivan Community Hospital, chartered in direct response to the community’s desire for quality local health care services. In recent years the hospital has been rebuilt to include a new
emergency department, radiology department, medical /surgical intensive care unit, surgical department and obstetrics unit. The new hospital was completed in 2011.
Prior to becoming president at Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital in 2005, Schwarm served as president of Clay County Hospital in Flora, Ill., for seven years.
Schwarm graduated from Greenville College in Greenville, Ill., with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He later completed a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University—Edwardsville.
Schwarm is married and has three children and four grandchildren.
