Jerry Fox

Senior Vice President and Chief Information and Digital Officer

As senior vice president and chief information and digital officer for BJC HealthCare, Jerry Fox is responsible for information technology, information security operations, biomedical engineering technology and digital initiatives throughout BJC’s hospitals and service organizations, including BJC Virtual Care.

Before coming to BJC, Fox was the global chief information officer with Rockwell Automation in Milwaukee, Wis. He was responsible for information technology strategy and operations at the $6 billion industrial automation company with more than 25,000 employees in 80 countries. He joined Rockwell in 2007 as vice president of information technology operations.

Throughout his career, Fox has held IT leadership positions across a diverse set of industry segments. Prior to Rockwell, Fox held technology leadership positions as chief technology
officer and director of global information technology operations at Dana Corporation, a Toledo, Ohio-based automotive parts supplier.

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Fox holds a master’s degree in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in business administration – management information systems from Ohio University in Athens. He has been an active volunteer with the IT Senior Management Forum focused on expanding the pipeline of diverse IT talent.  He also serves as a board member for College Bound St. Louis, an organization with the mission of empowering promising students from disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve bachelor’s degrees and successful careers.

In 2021 he was selected for the Chief Information Officer of the Year, ORBIE Award in health care in recognition of his excellence in technology leadership. In 2022 Fox was named one of 50 innovative chief digital officers to know by Becker’s Hospital Review.
