Annette Schnabel

President, Parkland Health Center

As president of Parkland Health Center, Annette Schnabel, DPT, MBA, FACHE, is responsible for the successful operation of two facilities in southeastern Missouri.  Parkland Health Center includes a full-service acute care hospital in Farmington, Mo., as well as a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre, Mo. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas.

The Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient medical, surgical and intensive care; obstetrics; geriatric psychiatry and emergency services; along with a wide variety of outpatient services including an oncology and infusion center, diabetes and wound care clinics and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center.  

The Bonne Terre campus was completed in 1995, primarily to continue emergency and outpatient services formerly delivered at Bonne Terre Hospital. The Bonne Terre campus includes medical offices and a sleep study lab.

Prior to joining Parkland Health Center, Schnabel served as the president and CEO of Perry Memorial Hospital, a critical access hospital serving Bureau County, Ill. and surrounding communities. She has also held leadership roles at Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS), a multi-institutional health care system with 13 hospitals in 12 communities across Illinois and Wisconsin and with BJC HealthCare at Clay County and Fayette County Hospitals in Illinois.

Schnabel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago, her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from A.T. Still University in Mesa, AZ, and her Master of Business Administration degree from Marylhurst University in Marylhurst, Ore. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE).

A recipient of many professional and community awards and honors, Schnabel is an accomplished and engaged member of her community.
