Leadership Team

The Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Team is responsible to ensure the team has the resources and support it needs to meet or exceed project requirements and to ensure the actions of the project team are aligned with the policy.

Greg Mohler, Vice President Construction, BJC HealthCare

Greg is BJC’s Campus Renewal diversity and inclusion liaison to the project steering committee and BJC leadership. He will ensure that the vision of BJC’s leadership team and project steering committee are conveyed to the project team, while ensuring the project team has support it needs to carry out that vision. 

Christopher Dean, Campus Renewal Project Executive, BJC HealthCare

Christopher is BJC’s lead diversity and inclusion champion for the construction team. He is responsible for the day-to-day interactions with the construction team to ensure BJC’s vision of this program is carried out throughout the construction process.

Donna Ware, Executive Director Planning & Design, BJC HealthCare

Donna is BJC’s lead diversity and inclusion champion for the design team. She is responsible for partnering with the design team to ensure BJC’s vision of this program is carried out throughout the design process.

 

Joe Lewandowski, Project Director, McCarthy Building Companies

Joe is the overall lead of the Inclusion Leadership Team representing McCarthy and the entire design build team. He is responsible for ensuring the spirit of the program is a part of every aspect of the project from design through construction.

 

Natalie Petzoldt, Principal, CannonDesign

Natalie is the overall lead of the Inclusion Leadership Team representing Cannon and design team. She is responsible for ensuring the spirit of the program is a part of every aspect of design through construction.

 

 

Functional Team

The Diversity and Inclusion Functional Team includes individuals representing the BJC and the Design Build Team (McCarthy/CannonDesign). This team takes is responsible to ensure that all facets of this plan are implemented to achieve the goals set out for the Campus Renewal Project.

Ralph Powell, Diversity Director, McCarthy Building Companies

Ralph is the overall lead of the Inclusion Program Functional Team on the project. He leads McCarthy’s Central Division D&I strategy both internally and externally for the company. He will incorporate McCarthy's vast knowledge and expertise nationally and locally to assist the team in utilizing best practices and maximizing opportunities for diverse companies and individuals.

Charles Henson, Diversity Manager, BJC HealthCare

Charles serves as BJC’s liaison, providing advocacy and support to contractors, primes and MBE/WBE firms.

Marvin Johnson, Project Executive/Advisor, Construction Management Partners (CMP)

Responsibilities include senior level management advisory activities to represent and protect the interest of the Owner in key and strategic areas such as the implementation of the D&I program and construction (financial audit) program. Assisting and presenting executive level report-out to BJC Leadership. Collaborate with other BJC staff in delivery of specific assignments associated with the project delivery and achievement of acceptable project outcomes. Marvin also leads the BJC 201 educational program.

Mike Brown, Project Manager/Compliance & Technical Support, Construction Management Partners (CMP)

Responsibilities include management, tracking, reporting and critical delivery of compliance processes and procedures related to implementation of the BJC HealthCare D&I Program. Working with technical platforms to establish protocols for trade personnel tracking, business utilization validation and reporting as well as working to resolve on-site and contractual problems on behalf of the M/WBE firms on BJC projects. Communications management during design and construction and integration of industry best practices with specific contractor programs to achieve successful experiences for the Capacity Building Warehouse firms.

Mike Stapf, Project Executive, McCarthy Building Companies

Mike is the overall lead of the Phase 3 Design team. Mike will represent the Design team regarding D&I in Steering Committee and Core Team meetings.

Kathy Bretsch, Project Communications, BJC HealthCare

Kathy leads communications to BJC employees and the general public on BJC construction projects, including diversity and inclusion. She works with the D&I team to report progress of this plan to BJC internal audiences and external audiences via a BJC website that will be launched mid-2021.

 

Ray Elking, Preconstruction Director, McCarthy Building Companies

Ray leads our preconstruction estimating efforts and is responsible for coordinating the bidding process. Ray will track M/WBE, Minority and Women workforce participation through the bidding process and be the point of contact for subcontractors through the bidding process.

Mark Taake, Associate Vice President, CannonDesign

Mark is one of the project leaders for Cannon and responsible for compliance and tracking of M/WBE firms for all design partners.

 

Craig Webster, Managing Prinicipal, BR+A

Craig is one of the of the project leaders for BR+A and responsible for compliance and tracking of M/WBE firms that are part of their design team.
