Check out some of the machinery on site

March 2022 - Before the concrete foundation floor and walls can be poured and the new 16-story hospital tower can start to rise from the ground, drill rigs are digging holes into bedrock below for 90+ piers to support the building. Excavators are digging soil and loading it into trucks to haul away. Five feet at a time, an earth retention system and shoring is installed surrounding the site.

A loader spreads gravel on the muddy site so vehicles can drive on a more solid surface.

A concrete mixer backs down a ramp into the site, while an excavator scoops dirt and a drill rig (far right) digs another pier.

Temporary earth retention is installed near the intersection of Kingshighway and Barnes Jewish Plaza.

An excavator is used to expand the depth of the site. The operator loads the dirt into trucks that haul it away.
