Four-month Kingshighway Lane Closure Starts Jan. 20

January 2025 - Kingshighway will be reduced to two northbound lanes starting Jan. 20 for exterior work on the new Barnes-Jewish Hospital Plaza West Tower. 

The closure is necessary to complete site work in front of the new Plaza West Tower, including street, curb and sidewalk replacement; construction of the outdoor seating area for the new cafeteria; installation of lighting; and landscaping.

• Message boards on Kingshighway will alert motorists to the lane closure and potential delays.
• Concrete barriers will separate the drive lanes from the work area.
• Two northbound lanes will remain open; southbound lanes are not affected.
• No detours are associated with the work.
• The Barnes-Jewish Hospital emergency department entrance and exit drives will not be blocked.

The duration of the project is weather dependent.
