Old Pedestrian Bridge Demolition Completed

December 9, 2024 - The view on Barnes-Jewish Plaza sure looks different now that the old pedestrian bridge is gone. 

Demolition contractors successfully removed the span of the old bridge over Barnes-Jewish Plaza this past weekend, so the subsequent road closures are canceled.

The new wider and brigher bridge and garage lobbies opened in August. See the ribbon cutting here. 

Demolition of the old garage lobbies, elevators and escalators will get started the third weekend in January, closing the patient/visitor entrance to the Plaza Garage from Barnes-Jewish Plaza for several weekends. Watch for details in January.
