Employee link to open March 1

The much anticipated link connecting employee parking with the hospitals will open March 1. Connecting four garages encompassing nearly 6,000 employee parking spaces, the link will provide a safe, secure and out-of-the-elements route to and from the garages.

Engineering intern sets his sights high

August 24, 2016 - Engineering intern Jeffry Faulkner navigates the Campus Renewal construction site easily en route to his 10th floor destination. Weaving through the floor framed rooms, he stops at an east facing window in a future patient room. Outside the window, a makeshift sprinkler is spraying water at the window and framing. He looks for leaks. 

1,000+ workers at lunch

June 15, 2016 - 1,000+ Campus Renewal workers talked about safety and learned about St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s annual KIDstruction fundraising campaign at an appreciation lunch.

Connecting Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children's hospitals

Feb. 17, 2016 marked the symbolic connecting of the women & infants programs at Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children's hospitals. This 109-foot, 50,000 pound bridge was lifted into place five stories up.

3,000 HP generators

February 12, 2016 - Five 3,000 horsepower generators were recently hoisted into the expansions of Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children's hospitals.

The construction site for an administrative office building for Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children’s hospitals is serving as a research lab of a different sort.

January 4, 2016 - From Construction Forum St. Louis: The team building one of the largest projects to hit St. Louis in decades, BJC Campus Renewal Phase I, knew that on top of the usual phasing and scheduling woes, they were dealing with placing a massive building onto a postage-stamp-sized site. The entire Campus Renewal project process has embraced a marriage of collaboration and technology from the beginning.
