October 7, 2024 2024 - The new Barnes Jewish sign was installed last week on the Plaza West Tower, which is under construction and will open fall of 2025.
September 2024 - The fall BJC 201 session featured Donna Ware, BJC director of planning & design, and St. Louis Internship Program executive director, Shanise Johnson, who's also a proud alumna of the program.
August 2024 - Apprentices on Campus Renewal packed a construction trailer to learn connect and learn more about Campus Renewal.
August 2024 - BJC Planning, Design & Construction hosted a forum for minority and women owned businesses in design, engineering and construcion to network with larger contractors. The annual event connects these businesses in an effort to increase the diversity in the design and construction industry.
August 28, 2024 - Dozens gathered to celebrate the grand opening of the new pedestrian bridge at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
August 16, 2024 - One of the tower cranes will be disassembled over the weekend, closing a lane of northbound Kingshighway just north of Barnes-Jewish Plaza.
Septeber 2024 - More than $720,000 was raised by the local construction industry during St. Louis Children’s Hospital's annual KIDstruction Week. Ambassador Grady visited the Campus Renewal site at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in June. The BJC and McCarthy teams treated Grady, his mom and three brothers to a fun outing and popsicles. He made new friends in hard hats and steel-toed boots.
June 11, 2024 - It was a beautiful day to celebrate a signficant milestone - the topping out of the new Plaza West Tower at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, representing more than 1.7 million hours of labor. The final structural beam, signed by trades men and women, employees, physicians, patients and families, was hoisted 300+ feet to the top of the tower.
