October 2023 - BJC HealthCare’s infection prevention specialists Loie Couch and Becca Vines vaccinated 25 workers on the Campus Renewal Project at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The vaccine clinic continues BJC's tradition of offering flu vaccinations to trades men and women partners on construction projects.
October 2023 - “I am different, just like you” was a theme of the third annual Construction Inclusion Week on the Campus Renewal Project, a week of daily activities to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in the construction industry. The week focused on “calling people in” and centered around recognizing that everyone is diverse.
August 2023 - Greg Mohler, BJC vice president of Planning, Design and Construction (PD&C), has announced plans to retire in April 2024. Former BJC PD&C employee Michael Hayes has returned to the organization to succeed Mohler.
Barnes-Jewish Plaza will close Sept. 30 starting at 3 a.m. until early afternoon. Concrete will be poured on the deck of the pedestrian bridge that was set last weekend. Follow the detour signs to the main entrance.
September 2023 - In April, work began to resurface the tennis courts in Hudlin Park. The first pair of courts have reopened, and work on the eastermost pair has started. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the year, and two courts will remain open at all times.
