June 17, 2021 - The BJC 201 program this morning focused on how to successfully work on BJC design and construction projects. Among the 78 participants were minority and women owned businesses specializing in design & architecture, engineering and construction.
June 2021 - Beginning June 16, Queeny Tower demolition hours will be extended. Contractors will be on site from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday-Saturday.
May 2021 – Falls are among the most common causes of serious work-related injuries, and when you're demolishing an 18-story building, fall protection is paramount, The Queeny Tower demolition team on BJC’s Campus Renewal Project participated in OSHA’s National Safety Stand Down to prevent falls.
May 2021 - A crane lifted a 24,000-pound skybridge up and over the 18-story Queeny Tower and lowered it to the ground as contractors prepare to demolish the building. Watch the time lapse video and see some photos.
April 2021 - The week of April 26, workers will attach crane rigging to the 24,000-pound steel frame, saw cut the steel from the two buildings, lift it over the vacant Queeny Tower, and lower it within the demolition site along Barnes-Jewish Hospital Plaza.
