July 2021 - Cordell Sawyer, a union-trained journeyman carpenter, is always eager to learn and grow. While working all day, took evening classes at St. Louis Community College to earn an associate’s degree in Applied Science in Skilled Trades Industrial Apprenticeship Training: Carpentry. He started Sledroc Construction Company in 2010, landing his first job at BJC in 2015 subcontracting to Tarlton Corp. on a garage job.

June 2021 - When DTLS started working with BJC shortly after its founding in 2012, Julia Montroy, DTLS principal and landscape architect, led an office of four. The firm now employs 12, due in part to growth stemming from work on BJC’s Campus Renewal.

June 2021 - All month, demolition contractors chipped away at the Queeny Tower elevator penthouse and the top three floors, creating large piles of rubble that were shoved down empty elevator shafts or lifted to the ground by the crane. Get a bird's eye view of their work.
