Workers Learn More About What They're Building

June 2023 - Samantha Miller, Barnes-Jewish Hospital director of heart & vascular services, talked with 200+ trades men and women building the new patient care tower about the impact their work will have on patients and their caregivers starting in 2025.

"I thought it was important for the team to know that they are building much more than a building - they are building history, the next chapter in the book that is Barnes-Jewish Hospital," says Miller. "Their work will have a tremendous impact on our communites, not just locally or regionally, but nationally. The tradespeople are building something that will likely out live all of us, a place of healing and hope for countless people for many years to come."

The tower will have 224 private inpatient rooms and 56 private intensive care unit rooms, all for heart and vascular patients.
